Are you planning a marriage and would like to get married in the Metaverse? Then the Chapel of the Metaverse is the place for you! We run a metaverse wedding chapel in Decentraland that you can rent.
So you can take your vows with your partner in our chapel. You can also invite family, friends and acquaintances to the virtual marriage reception, our wedding chapel can accommodate up to 30 people who want to attend the ceremony.
The marriage chapel is located in Decentraland Metaverse in a tranquil area, away from the hustle and bustle. Elegant design, modern colors and architecture provide the ideal setting for a virtual marriage reception at the Metaverse. You can hear the birds singing even though you are in the vastness of the Metaverse.
The chapel is not assignable to any secular religion, there are no religious symbols. The chapel serves as a place for people of all backgrounds, colors and orientations.

You can design your virtual marriage reception in Decentraland as to your taste, take advantage of the infinite possibilities of what the Metaverse offeres a virtual marriage. Pledge your allegiance as a couple alone or bring a minister or other moral authority to witness your partnership.
After you have completed your Metaverse marriage in our chapel, you can order a Metaverse marriage certificate from us (certified to COTM standards) which will also be published as an NFT on a blockchain of your choice (Polygon or Ethereum) and which we will transfer to your metamask wallet in duplicate.

Important aspects to have a great Metaverse marriage reception in our chapel:
- Book your Meta-Marriage appointment at our chapel well in advance.
- Practice using Decentraland with your partner a few days before the ceremony. Experiment with communication, sound, movements, perspectives and make sure you have a festive outfit in the Decentraland Marketplace (free outfits are also available).
- Also encourage your guests to practice using Decentraland. If you want to have witnesses at the ceremony, don't forget to urge them to practice Decentraland as well.
- After you know how Decentraland works, create a schedule for your Metaverse marriage. Think about oaths, promises, salutations and also the moral authority in front of which they will be made. Discuss this flow with your partner.
- Shortly before the virtual marriage reception we will send you the exact address of our Metaverse Marriage Chapel. (we have to do this to avoid giving a stage to marriage crashers). Don´t go there before your assigned slot, as there might be a couple celebrating their virtual Meta Marriage at that time.
- Invite the guests you want to the reception!
- On the big day, make sure that especially the acting persons have a PC or Laptop with enough computing power and a very good high speed internet connection.
- Arrive at the marriage venue on time, our recommendation is to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before in order to do final technical tests. Don´t arrive early, as there might be another couple celebrating their special moment and you don´t want to disturb for sure.
- Hold the reception according to your taste!
- Don't forget to take some wedding photos (screenshots). You can also make a screen video and get a metaverse marriage video.
- Special Tip: Not all participants of the virtual wedding need to log into Decentraland. If at the time of the reception there are participants physically in the same place, it is enough if only one participant logs in, sets the sound to loud and everyone (especially older people) attends the virtual marriage ceremony on one screen.
